    Parking: **Important Change**

Parking is NOT available along University Avenue any longer, as the University has reestablished bike lanes. Any vehicle that parks along University Avenue will receive a parking ticket.

The lots available are the gravel football lot (home side), side and front Fowler lots, Benedict lot (access from Mississippi Ave), and the Hall St. Lot (access from either Mississippi Ave or Hall St.). This is a total of 255 parking spaces.

Just a few things for our visitors to keep in mind…

    • No parking on University Ave
    • No parking along Florida Ave or in the paved stadium lot (there are construction vehicles coming and going for the turf and track replacement)
    • No parking at Sewanee InnVehicles dropping off or picking up should take Louisiana Cir to Allan Gipson Ln and turn left on Texas Ave. This will put them directly in front of Fowler and prevent kids and fans from running out in front of traffic as they hurry to get in or out of their vehicles.
    • DO NOT PARK ON THE SIDE OF FOWLER NEXT TO THE POOL OR IN THE SERVICE VEHICLE SPACES IN FRONT OF FOWLER. The service vehicle spaces are ONLY for swimmer and supply drop off and a driver must stay with the car at all times. Police will be enforcing this policy and tickets will be given.
    • No parking on the gravel drive behind the pool. This is the access for Emergency vehicles and cannot be blocked. CARS WILL BE TOWED.
    Heat sheets:
Heat Sheets will not be available for purchase, a QR code for download will be posted at registration and throughout the facility.

    Concessions:
The concession stand will be available, including pizza at lunch.
Cash, credit card, and checks will be accepted.

No food or drinks on the pool deck!
First Place Athletics will be at the meet to sell goggles, suits, and swim equipment.

    Elevators:
Elevators are not to be used by swimmers
Elevators are not for equipment transport ( ex. Chairs, coolers)

    TEAM/SPECTATOR SEATING:

All swimmers will be seated on the deck in designated areas with McMinnville sitting outside.

There will be spectator seating on the pool balcony and team seating in the Fowler Center Practice Gym, lobby, and outside.

Per RACE League Coaches and Team Representative's decision, no bags, backpacks, stadium chairs, folding chairs, etc. will be allowed on the pool balcony.

Parents and fans ARE NOT allowed to “camp out” on the balcony. Parents are expected to set up somewhere else and then rotate in and out to let all parents to see their swimmers compete in the meet. The balcony will be cleared out and locked between each session during warm-ups.

    VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

We are obligated to follow the safety protocol established by the Police in this regard…

Again, please note that the balcony cannot be blocked off for any groups to sit in the same seats all day.

Absolutely no coolers, chairs, or anything other than a handbag/purse will be allowed on the balcony. This echoes the rules set by the Fire Marshall as well, and it is a typical arrangement for facilities with somewhat limited seating.

     We are asking parents to…
Cooperate with the rules handed down to us by both the Fire Marshal
and Chief of Police and no additional doors, indoor or outdoor, can be opened. Special consideration should be given if you or your child have respiratory issues

Please honor the balcony rules, and we will all be able to see our children swim!

Remember that all other parts of the Fowler Center are closed and off-limits. Violation of this will result in the swimmer being disqualified from their events and sent home.

Please show Sewanee your respect by leaving the pool and spectator seating area clean of garbage and debris at end of each session.

Thank you for your cooperation during the Championship. We feel blessed that the University is still allowing us to use this great facility and want to ensure that this is an option for the RACE League in the future.

I know this is a ton of information, please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks and see you in morning at practice.
